Kylo Ren

Holy cow! Its been ages since I’ve posted last on this blog. I’m going to try and revive this and try to do more art more regularly. Hang in there, some exciting stuff to come.

Anyway, how good is Episode 7?? Oh my gosh! It’s just good to have new Star Wars, really. Even though he’s a spoiled tantrum-throwing brat, I’ve decided to revive this blog with a drawing of Kylo Ren.

What’s more exciting is I have a Redbubble shop now, so you can head over there and get this drawing on T-shirt! I’ll have more stuff going up there as I draw them.

On that note, I need suggestions of what I can draw next. What characters, monsters, heroes or villains would you like to see me do next? Comment here or tweet me, I’m open to all suggestions (except Braking Bad).

Death of a Fairytale

I meant to post this earlier this week; now it’s Valentine’s Day and I don’t have anything soppy I want to post. So she goes up today. Actually, this is actually a pretty accurate representation of my love life, Hahaha… haha… heh… *sad face*

On a more serious note, I’ve discovered another app for the tablet called Pro Create. It’s a bit different to Art Studio, I’m still getting my head around it. However it does have some cool features, especially that you can export the progress of your drawing to a movie. Like, step-by-step watch the drawing be completed, it totally rocks!

I’ve just finished a Batman picture with Pro Create which I’ll post up in a couple of weeks, so watch out for that; and I’ll put the video up too!

In the meantime here’s this weeks piece. I might use this to so some street art too. When I do I’ll post about it on my other blog (whenever I start that up). Happy Valentine’s everyone!

Should Have Gone To Another Castle

Tablet Art Press is back! I’m going to try to start another Art blog for other bits of art I do here and there in traditional media. I haven’t decided the format for it as my original plan won’t be possible. I’ll give it some thought over the coming weeks and get that up and running soon.

As for Tablet Art Press, I’ll still keep it running and trying to update as often as possible. I’ve got a few works up my sleeve and I’ll get them out to you as soon as I can. Also, if you have any ideas or suggestions, or maybe just want to challenge me to draw something; let me know in the comments or tweet me: @MarzRaul.

In the meantime, here’s a Super Mario piece I drew some time ago, but only got around to colourising recently.

Marta Melon II

Another little sketch of the beautiful @WillHugForFood eating her favourite fruit. I did a whole series of these little chibi drawings of her as different characters a few weeks back when we were having an international sketch session. That is to say we were on Skype sketching the whole time. I might render the other little Martas at some point; but I have to post some of her art here as its been a while, so keep a look out for that.

In other news, my Spell Tome post got me over 1500 karma on reddit. 1500+ sweet anonymous Internet points! Prior to this post my most successful post was a photo of a Super Mario Cappucino, which was; interestingly enough, done by @WillHugForFood…

Fus!

I’ve been playing way to much Skyrim lately. Here’s the Dovahkiin looking mean as ever. Also, the TV show, Vikings is finally coming to TV in Australia. Pretty pumped for it because I’m gonna imagine the whole thing is taking place in Skyrim.

In other news, I’m working on setting up an online store to have some of my drawings available on T-shirts. Got the test one back today, and I’m pretty pleased with the results. Watch this space…

Winterfell Soldier

Was trying something different with this pic, doing some “reverse” shading; where the whole thing is shadow and I delete for highlight where necessary. I’m happy with the way it turned out; but I still think those helmets make the Northen Soldiers look stupid.

Captain Jack

My friend @summerdress__ fell in love with this kitten as soon as she saw it. Despite being told it was a girl; she named it Jack (after Jack Sparrow), due to its black markings resembling a goatie. On visiting the vet, turned out Jack is a boy. So much for the expertise of pet-shop employees…

Anyway, in honour of his namesake, I decided to draw little Jacky-boy as a Pirate Cat. I’m actually pretty please with this piece. Enjoy.

Reverse Centaur

Sometime inspirations comes from the strangest places. A centaur is waist-up human attached to neck-down horse. So I got thinking, ‘what about the reverse? Neck-up horse attached to waist-down human.’

So I present the Reverse Centaur!
